Often we’re asked if the active adult communities are solvent or how large are the reserves. The concern is if I buy a home and they go broke do we have to pay more to keep the community going. Great question to ask and something that should be considered.
In most cases you have nothing to worry about and something that needs to be verified before you complete the purchase of the home. In Arizona you have a special contingency to make sure you have time to ensure the community has good reserves.
